Educational Activities
Whether you’re a classroom educator, parent or caregiver, after-school volunteer—or just a curious kid—these simple hands-on activities complement five of the scientific topics shown during the SEARCHING programs. Some simple low-cost materials are required for a couple of them, and some careful preparation in the case of the bioluminescence activity, but actually "doing science" should prove rewarding. Two TikToks, relating to the pendulum and bioluminescence activities, also show “young Alan” experiencing nature and its laws in short excerpts from the series. We hope you find these activities fun and informative. Please share reactions, images and suggestions on Instagram, Twitter or Facebook!
